From the off, FanDuel likes to mix it up when it comes to welcome offers. Currently, new FanDuel customers will receive $150 of bonus bet credits regardless of whether their first bet wins or loses. Users just need to register an account, make an initial lowly deposit of $10 and then make an opening wager of at least $5.
FanDuel’s latest prime welcome offer will land newbies guaranteed bonus bets whether their opening wager wins or loses. You can bet on any sport and any market offered to qualify, whether it’s going big on an underdog or playing it safe with a favorite, as there are no minimum odds restrictions.
If the first $5 bet wins, new customers will receive any winnings and the stake will be returned - just like with any regular wager. After that, any successful bets from the $150 bonus credit - which isn’t withdrawable as cash - will receive just the profit element.
To bag FanDuel’s latest welcome offer you’ll need to be a completely new customer, aged 21 or over and be located in any state in which the company operates its legal sportsbooks (including New York).
You don’t need a promo code to get FanDuel’s current sign-up bonus. The offer is only available online so any cash deposited at FanDuel’s retail sportsbooks doesn’t count as a qualifying deposit.
FanDuel’s latest welcome offer is one of the easiest to access compared to all of the NY sportsbooks. Once a new account is opened, a deposit made and a valid qualifying bet is placed new customers will be rewarded with the bonus credit within 72 hours.
You can use the bonus credit on any sport and you will have 14 days before it expires. There’s no playthrough requirement on the credit meaning any profit from bets using it are instantly yours to keep. The offer won’t apply to any wagers made from other bonus funds so the first eligible bet must be from real money. Also to note, to then use the credit you’ll have to specifically select the option to do so on the FanDuel bet slip.

As well as providing one of the most accessible welcome bonuses to fly new customers straight to the heart of the action, FanDuel also delivers terrific ongoing promos and featured offers.
All easily laid to view from the ‘Promotions’ tab at the top of the sportsbook, FanDuel’s top campaigns are creative and generous. Here’s a few popular promotions you might find at different times of the year:
Same Game Parlay (SGP) markets are extensive and insurance is often offered on four-leg parlays on NBA, MLB and soccer matches. FanDuel is also one of the only sportsbooks to offer parlays on UFC Fight Nights.
They frequently refresh ahead of major events and the most popular leagues and competitions regularly feature odds boosts.
Unlike some notable others, particularly Caesars and BetMGM, there is no loyalty scheme at FanDuel but regular competitions are offered with a range of prizes to be won. Daily fantasy sports contests also link to FanDuel’s massive DFS presence such as selecting three players to hit a home run and win a share of a big cash pot awarded or its NBA Entry Challenge that runs over six weeks of the season before awarding prizes.
Just like the rest of the field, FanDuel runs a ‘Refer a Friend’ promotion and it rates as one of the best. This regularly offers a $50 bonus when a buddy signs up to FanDuel by following a referral link you send them. It’s often boosted too. For example, ahead of the NBA Finals, FanDuel was offering $75 in sportsbook funds and $75 in casino credit awarded to both when a new customer signed up after being recommended to do so by an existing user. Even better, it’s possible to refer up to 10 friends to FanDuel and so net a sizable bonus sum.

The bold, blue-branded betting behemoth that is FanDuel’s sportsbook is one of the best there is. The FanDuel user interface is impressive and easy to use. The list of sports available to bet on at FanDuel is one of the most extensive around. All the ‘biggies’ are comprehensively covered along with some niche sports that aren’t found on other NY sportsbooks.
FanDuel’s sportsbook links with its DFS offering through a one wallet integration. Bettors also have access to the massive FanDuel DFS databases in order to access stats and uncover trends. All of that enables FanDuel to be nimble when it comes to setting odds and it often ranks as one of the top-rated NY sportsbooks for sports market pricing.

Starting out small in 2009 FanDuel was in at the start of the US fantasy sports boom. Today, in numbers terms, they rate as one of the largest sports operators in the market, along with DraftKings, BetMGM and Caesars. In 2016 FanDuel and DraftKings attempted to merge but their efforts were thwarted by the Federal Trade Commission which concluded it would lead to a monopoly situation.
Fast forward to 2018 and FanDuel was acquired by Paddy Power Betfair, now known as Flutter Entertainment plc. The Paddy Power and Betfair betting brands are among the biggest in Europe. FanDuel has remained as the main identity for the company’s US operations and Flutter entered the world of horse racing in 2016 when it joined with the TVG Network.
FanDuel’s expansion and recognition in the US sports industry have continued at pace and earned them plenty of recognition in the process. FanDuel has also been active recently in expanding its sports analytics and data infrastructure with a series of key acquisitions and partnerships. The firm has picked up numerous accolades and awards for its fantasy platforms and sportsbook apps. According to FanDuel themselves, the brand can boast of over 17 million customers in the USA served by over 2800 employees.
FanDuel launched its NY sportsbook in early 2022 and has posted impressive numbers in gaining market share and revenue. Fuelled by its New York performance, FanDuel raced into a 37% market share in the entire US gambling industry during Q1 2022. Super Bowl LVI provided FanDuel with its largest day ever for new customers with 1.5 million active users on the day. FanDuel’s total handle in October 2023 grew to over $891.9 million - equating to 44.4% of the NY market share.
FanDuel has quickly proved itself to be one of the best sportsbooks in New York. As evidenced by its impressive sign-up numbers, FanDuel is already the sports betting operator of choice for many New Yorkers. The FanDuel interface is clean, clear and easy to use and its platforms deliver features not available anywhere else. There are generally 17 sports listed on FanDuel’s sportsbook which is ahead of the usual dozen or so on most NY betting platforms.
Simple navigation between the FanDuel sportsbook and its DFS and casino sites makes for a consolidated all-round entertainment experience. If spinning the slots or tracking your favorite player's performance points during the halftime interval are your thing, then FanDuel makes everything effortless.
As a customer experience, there’s little at FanDuel to really find fault with. Navigation to its support options could perhaps be a little clearer but FanDuel’s dedicated ‘training’ guides are as comprehensive as it gets with sports and betting guides on every topic imaginable. FanDuel’s help section covers everything from coupled runners in horse racing to dead heat gradings in sports - things most of us will probably never even ask. It will even tell you what parking is available at Meadowlands on game days.
FanDuel revamped its iOS app ahead of kick-off in NHL season 2021 and users have delighted in its functionality and features. With a 4.8 rating on the Apple App Store from over half a million reviews, its ranking rates favorably with the other best NY sportsbooks. It’s easy to navigate around the FanDuel app and selecting bets is a straightforward and seamless process. The blue and white color scheme is a relaxed and accessible affair though some folks might find darker text easier on the eye when using it for long periods.
The FanDuel Apple app interface is fresh and uncluttered. It follows the structure that the best sportsbooks have implemented too. The day’s top offers and sporting events are clearly displayed along the top with the biggest individual matches flowing in a logical order down the page. Current odds boosts are easy to access from a prominent link. The main sports are then listed down the left with a ‘Popular’ tab, a live betting tab and an overview of what’s still to come. Access to the full A-Z of sports available displays at the bottom of the page along with quick links to your account and bet slip. It all makes for easy and intuitive navigation. And if you do get lost, it’s easy to return to the lobby or perform a search.
With everything that features for iOS and the same rational structure, the Android FanDuel app is a smooth platform to use and it’s quick and responsive. All of the main areas, including boosts, promos and live betting can be accessed speedily with just a tap or two. A 4.7 rating on the Google Play store suggests a positive user experience - ahead of most of its rivals who often score slightly lower on Android than iOS. Again, this is an app that doesn’t try to do too much and you’ll find everything you need from the main screen. As it’s backed by one of the world’s largest sports-tech companies, like all of its operating platforms the FanDuel Android app is stable and fast.
However, there are occasional negatives such as Android FanDuel users noting occasional location glitches when attempting to verify they’re in New York state. Admittedly this is a fairly common gripe across all of the NY sportsbooks. Fingerprint login also seems to be a bit buggy if you’re trying to access betting markets in a hurry. Notably though, FanDuel’s Android users experience the fastest line changes for in-game betting with adjustments and odds changes appearing quickly There are some cool tools on the FanDuel app too such as parlay builders and loads of statistical information at your fingertips for live markets.
FanDuel’s web platform matches the design and feel of its mobile apps but with more space to move around and take it all in. It’s super easy to click on all of FanDuel’s main features and everything is on display in the wider screen format. It's also simpler to keep an eye on your bet slip on desktop as it's always on display from the lobby and other main pages rather than hiding in the background as it does on handheld devices.
Navigation from the sports menu is responsive and it’s effortless to find all manner of secondary markets. A toggle between tabs will bring up the Same Game Parlay menu plus FanDuel’s extensive props betting, head-to-head, spreads and totals markets. Again, it’s all very logical. So as not to clutter up the top and middle of each webpage, FanDuel has opted to put all of its more in-depth and comprehensive menu options towards the bottom. If you’re looking for something specific, the lower reaches of the site are the place to go. Thanks to the lines featuring down the middle of the page and the bet slip to the right, it’s probably easier to build more content into bets on the FanDuel desktop site than it is on the app.
Many New Yorkers are already familiar with FanDuel from their DFS and casino platforms. The FanDuel sportsbook continues the brand’s overall theme to deliver an integrated experience for fans of betting and gaming.
FanDuel’s interfaces put everything front and center for rapid digestion. Sign up is straightforward and any user issues can usually be quickly sorted from FanDuel’s extensive support options.
All of FanDuel’s customer service options can be accessed 24/7 including live chat. A small thing but a kind of cool one is that you can connect to a FanDuel agent who will be described as an ‘expert’ for day to day account issues, and as a ‘coach’ when accessing help relating to questions about particular bets and sports markets. A simple thing, but it all gives the impression you’ll soon be chatting to an agent best suited to any particular inquiry.
As with most live chat options at sportsbooks or any other type of customer-facing company, you’re first directed to a FanDuel ‘bot’ to answer a couple of questions, but it’s then quick to opt to interact with an agent. You’ll then likely enter a queue. Depending on the time of day, the queue length could be single digits, double digits or dozens in length, but credit to FanDuel as it does almost always reduce quickly.
There’s no easy access to phone support at FanDuel and a call back facility is only offered for New Jersey customers. Nor is there a readily publicized direct message option though you can get in touch via email using sportsbook@fanduel.com. It means if you’re pressed for time and would prefer to step away from the platform to deal with a message reply later, it could be a little irritating.
FanDuel’s signup process is quick and straightforward. Choose the ‘Join’ option and new users are asked for their email address and to select a username and password. You should note that if you’re situated outside of New York or any other state in which FanDuel operates, its location checking systems may halt you from proceeding any further. If not, you’re good to go through the next steps.
If you have an existing FanDuel DFS account there’s an option when registering to extend it to include a new linked sportsbook account. Personal details required to sign-up to FanDuel include name, address, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. From there you’re free to make a first deposit and begin betting. At some point, you’ll be asked to upload a scan of your photo id and take a selfie to confirm it’s you. This will often be when you first request a withdrawal or add further banking details to your account.
FanDuel accepts all of the major banking methods found at most big sportsbooks. In addition to online payments, you can deposit and withdraw cash at their in-person casino sites. The main types of banking options available at FanDuel are as follows:
Method | Fee | Deposit | Withdrawal
Minimum | Process Time | Minimum | Process Time
Free | $10 | Instant | $25 | 3-5 Days

It’s a cinch to make a deposit to a FanDuel account and with just a couple of clicks, most payment methods will have funds available to bet in minutes. Login to your FanDuel account, select ‘Deposit’, choose your payment method, enter its details and type the amount to transfer. Hitting the ‘Continue’ button will securely process your transaction.
To request a withdrawal, login to your account, click the ‘Withdrawal’ button and follow the onscreen prompts to confirm the amount requested and chosen method. All FanDuel withdrawal requests have to be approved before they’re processed. This will generally happen the same day or the following day but busier times or public holiday periods may take longer. As with all sportsbooks, to withdraw funds FanDuel requires that you first use the method chosen to make a deposit.
As one of the biggest and most popular NY sportsbooks, FanDuel has a huge array of betting options. This includes all the moneylines and futures you’d expect to find along with totals, spreads, parlays, props, alternate lines, round robins, teasers and all of the rest.
What makes FanDuel standout on betting options is the unique twist the sportsbook has put on some of the most popular. Alongside its great odds boosts, FanDuel enables a range of other bets to be tailored to increase possible returns as you see fit.
FanDuel is often to be found to offer among the best moneyline odds markets to be found on NY sportsbooks. All moneyline bets anywhere are relatively straightforward to make but FanDuel’s ‘Stake All Straights’ is a notable feature that makes placing multiple moneylines a breeze. If you’re making several straight bets, selecting this option enables you to place the same stake on assorted wagers without having to go through multiple individual lines and enter an identical value each time.
Same Game Parlay (SGP) bets have exploded in popularity with US sports fans in the last few years and weren’t even commonly found at sportsbooks until recently. As well as offering regular SGP insurance promos, FanDuel has added something extra to your multi-line wagers on one match. FanDuel’s SGP+ feature enables users to combine two or more Same Game Parlays into one bet. The individual SSGPs to make it up don’t even have to be from the same sport and you can combine SGP moneylines, totals, props and more. This level of SGP flexibility isn’t found at many sportsbooks and it means potential parlay payouts can be significantly higher.
FanDuel is at the top of the league when it comes to player prop bets. They regularly edge out their nearest competitor DraftKings on these smaller, fun markets that can return a good profit. The pair clearly benefit from their extensive DFS experience and databases in analyzing the performance of individual players to offer great markets on how they will perform.
FanDuel also has a fantastic escalator system for player props. If you’re tracking a player who’s in form and believe they’re going to have a great night, FanDuel allows you to customize the line based on incremental stages. So, as the ‘over’ line escalates, so too does the possible payout. The ability to customize player props in such detail like this doesn’t feature elsewhere.
Teasers can be as complicated as you make them but FanDuel is one of the best NY sportsbooks for such wagers. Teasers are essentially about adjusting the spread or totals in a parlay. FanDuel makes viewing teaser options easy with a separate tab that appears on the bet slip when such markets are available. Teasers are often grouped in with parlays at many sportsbooks which simply clutters up the options to the point of bafflement. Not so at FanDuel where turning bets into teasers is possible with a single click. How much risk versus reward you feel like dropping into your teaser is then totally in your control.
While FanDuel excels at the biggest US sports, its reach extends far and wide to offer sports from around the world. There might not be a huge chunk of American sports fans who follow Aussie Rules, cricket, snooker and handball but for those who love such an ‘exotic’ then FanDuel delivers.
Among all of the sports it features, FanDuel is often best known for baseball. With a long season, daily games and a data-driven slant, FanDuel’s DFS baseball roots have flourished throughout its sportsbook. You’ll find an MLB betting offer most days on FanDuel with Same Game Parlay promos and bet insurance dropping regularly. Also, FanDuel’s baseball pricing is regularly among the best on the sportsbook scene so if you shop the moneylines or MLB fixtures, having the FanDuel app stacked in your portfolio is essential if you're looking for the best MLB sportsbooks.
If you count them up, there are up to 37 different ways to bet on NFL matches at FanDuel. That’s leagues ahead of much of the competition. FanDuel is officially partnered with the NFL and Genius Sports who provide data and real-time information to football’s leading governing body. This gives FanDuel’s customers exclusive access to NFL content and insight while adding a new dimension to its live football betting markets, making it one of the top NFL betting sites.
Along with Caesars, FanDuel is also linked up with the Buffalo Bills delivering exclusive promotions. If you’re a Highmark Stadium fan you’ll also have noticed FanDuel sponsors the popular podcast ‘Bills by the Numbers’.
FanDuel’s tie-in with Genius Sports extends to NBA coverage with its live odds appearing on the official NBABet website. FanDuel is regularly noted for offering market-leading odds on NBA games, which makes it one of the best choices of NBA sportsbooks. Basketball Same Game Parlays offers are regularly promoted with additional contests such as FanDuel’s ‘Long Shot Bonus’. Here, placing a $5 stake on an NBA Finals match with the highest odds will return the winner tens of thousands of dollars in bonus bets with smaller prizes for those lower down the list.
Alongside DraftKings, FanDuel is an official partner of the NBA too. FanDuel fronts the weekly NBABet show on the league’s TV channel making it a great watch for betting tips and match previews.
An honorable mention for FanDuel as a top choice for golf betting fans. Fantasy golf has long been a big draw at FanDuel and its betting arm extends all this to become perhaps the most comprehensive golf coverage of all US sportsbooks. FanDuel has a longstanding partnership with the PGA with odds-based content appearing on the Tour’s digital content and social media.
Not only do FanDuel deliver great markets for the Majors and big PGA Tour events, but they also feature the European Tour. Golf futures markets are open early at FanDuel with next year’s Masters already in its sights and they go deeper into tournaments than many. For example, while other sportsbooks will offer top 10 or top 20 finishing odds on golf tournaments, FanDuel will head further down to the top 30 or 40 places. And that’s great for a sport that features such big fields (and odds).
Thanks to its sister site TVG, FanDuel has a strong New York horse racing and betting presence. While New Yorkers have long-held horse racing in high esteem with the nine tracks in the state hosting some of America’s top races, online betting on the horses remains limited. FanDuel is one of the few sportsbooks to feature horse racing. FanDuel does link directly out to TVG’s racing platforms and it may take time for the pair to become more integrated. It matters little though as TVG does a great job with its horse racing coverage making it the premier place to bet on the races and follow all of the action.
FanDuel has been jostling ferociously with the biggest NY sportsbooks to lure in new customers and then keep them returning. Its welcome offer might not jump out among the headline figures from the likes of Caesars and BetMGM, but the easy-in, quick and generous rewards actually makes it one of the best for value. We’d say that FanDuel is comparable with BetRivers as the top sign-up offer for anyone dipping in with a low deposit to test out a sportsbook before making their mind up.
Ultimately, with DraftKings positioned as FanDuel’s nearest DFS-rooted rival it’s a photo finish as to which offers the best sports betting experience. Whether you prefer the busier betting interfaces at DraftKings or FanDuel’s cleaner feel will probably depend on which of the pair you become more comfortable with quickly. FanDuel typically has slightly better odds than DraftKings but then Caesars often outperforms the pair. Comparing FanDuel vs BetMGM and others shows different platforms nudging ahead on pricing for certain sports. As with everything in life, it pays to shop around and check in on FanDuel.
FanDuel is certainly amongst the very top of the NY sportsbooks. The best bits of FanDuel include its extensive markets that outstrip most of the competition. It’s also the designed-in flexibility and control delivered by FanDuel that makes it a unique, fun and exciting betting platform.
FanDuel also typically rates as the best for newcomers as its app is one of the easiest to use. It’s also one of the few that really updates fast enough to place and enjoy a live betting experience on sports like basketball and tennis where the score changes by the minute.
There are many reasons why FanDuel has attracted so many new customers and ultimately was recently named ‘Sportsbook Operator of the Year’ by industry body EGR. FanDuel is also often referred to by seasoned stakers as ‘the sports bettors’ sportsbook’. All in all, whether it’s trade awards or serious sports betting aficionados whose views you appreciate most, FanDuel comes highly recommended and you really should try it for yourself.
